I’ve had a couple days off recently and wanted to update the site a bit. Gigs page is updated as the coming months are filling out nicely with a lot of opportunities to play out. I really couldn’t be happier about that. 🙂
On the teaching front, I recently started working with a couple HS groups at Sequim HS and Interlake HS. Sequim is a bit of a drive from Seattle (albeit a pretty one), but turned out to be well worth it as the band director, Vern Fosket, has an amazing amount of kids in his percussion class! He has 29 in a class 2A high school (around 600 total enrolled). Back in the day, I went to a 1A high school (around 300-400 enrolled), and we had about four drummers in the entire school. Needless to say, I had a blast working with them and look forward to future meetings. David Kim, band director at Interlake in Bellevue also has a good group of kids that are hungry to learn, so I’m looking forward to teaching over there.
Finally, private lessons are happening on Sundays at UW! If you’re interested, feel free to contact me for more information.
