I finally had the opportunity to meet/play/study with Dave Weckl today. He had tons of sound advice and was even very complimentary of my own playing. In certain pockets of the business, he’s been a polarizing figure. In my book, there’s a reason he’s world renown: he is the real deal. He was one my drumming heroes growing up, and to be able to interact with him one-on-one was really priceless. Thanks for everything, Dave.
