And to think, I almost didn’t go.
Thanks to my friend at Mackie/Ampeg, Larson Haakenstad, indeed I did. Every year at NAMM seems to bring new experiences that this one was no different. Of course you expect the new gear, seminars, etc… but I actually went to none. I spent a bunch of time with my friend and London Bridge/Chartreuse Muffin Recording Studio Engineer David Miner checking out some studio spaces across LA as well as a show one night. Past that, it was a bunch of hanging out with new friends every night… which I had surprisingly not done either of the past two years. Having local hotel accommodations really does make all the difference. Also- I came away with my very own brand-spanking-new custom set of Ultimate Ears. Boss.
