Wow, a lot happening currently. That is an understatement. I’m preparing to head out on the road for drum corps again, and as they say, “the days are just packed”.
Discs of Fury has been rehearsing like mad. I love how we keep reinventing ourselves and find different ways to do what we do. Our show on 6/26 is sure to be memorable. If you’re reading this, you ought to come out.
Gigs with Tess and Carson have been going great, but are getting more few and far between as summer approaches. Tess and Carson are going on vacations overseas, and I’m going on tour! So it all works out.
I’ve recently hired Steve Henry as assistant Drumline Instructor at UW, and I couldn’t be happier to have him aboard. I also just received a shipment of new cymbals from Zildjian, the best cymbal maker there is. I cannot say enough about how good they have been to work with. Buy Zildjians. Why? They’re the best. That’s why. Need I say more?
I finally sold my car. Thank the lord. I’m also still teaching lessons over the summer. Help me help you. 🙂
